Trundle Bush Tucker Day Inc’s primary function is to host a one day festival in September, The Trundle Bush Tucker Day. This festival is now in its 31st consecutive year and attracts over 1000 visitors who enjoy live music throughout the day as well as the bush tucker cooking competition, bush games and cooking demonstrations, while the Trundle community enjoys the chance to showcase its history and culture.
Our festival is a not for profit community event and all profits go back into the local community. The committee consists of 10 core members, while in the lead up to the event this number can swell to over 50 volunteers who help to set up and coordinate the event, including manning the gate, selling merchandise or facilitating the free bush tucker and much much more. All members are volunteers. The Trundle Bush Tucker relies on the support from our local businesses, organizations and sponsors, without their help this event would not be possible.
Bush Tucker Cooking Competition with $2000 in prizes, Country Music Sweetheart Beccy Cole Performing Live, Camp Oven Cooking Demos with Ranger Nick, Whip Cracker, Free Kids Corner with jumping castle, gold panning, face painting, stalls, games and live entertainment throughout the day and evening.
