Schools across Forbes have shut for the week as water levels in the Lachlan River continue to rise.

The Department of Education and Communities has announced that primary and secondary schools around the region will close until Monday.
The schools affected by the closure include: Corinella Public; Bedgerabong Public; Forbes Public; Forbes North Public; Forbes High; and Gooloogong Public.
"At this stage, there is no indication when Ungarie Central School will become operational," a spokesman for the department said.
"Tallimba Public School will be operational tomorrow."
St Laurence's Parish School sent an email to parents today informing them the school was likely to be shut for the rest of the week.
"The school will be closed on Tuesday, March 6 2012 and will be closed until the SES informs us it is safe to open the school," the school said in the email.
"Please keep checking your email for updates as to when the school will be re-opening."
Red Bend Catholic College will also be shut for the remainder of the week.
