Forbes Public School students can enjoy their playtime without exposure to the hot summer sun, with the completion of a new shade shelter recently.

The shelter was erected over the primary students’ play equipment last week, in time for this week’s above average temperatures.

“Students at Forbes Public School are extremely fortunate to have the completion of the sheltered area above the primary play equipment,” said Relieving Principal, Melanie Pitt.

“It has been completed in time for the hot summer months ahead. Students will benefit from the shelter and be able to enjoy this new facility,” Ms Pitt said.

The shade structure was funded by a government grant.
