The men’s soccer pre-season is just about ready to start and it’s now time to dust off the old boots, pull out the shin pads and have a kick to see how much Christmas pudding you need to work off.
“Anyone considering playing in the men’s soccer competition in the 2012 season is warmly invited to come and join in the pre-season hit outs that will be held each Wednesday for next few weeks,” Mick Sheather from the Forbes Men’s Soccer Committee said.
“The pre-season training is an excellent opportunity for people to try out and see if soccer is a good fit for them this year.
“There will be no cost incurred with this training and will be basically be a causal hit out involving small sided games and some light training drills,” he said.
The first session will be held on Wednesday February 15 from 7pm and every Wednesday from then at the Botanical Gardens.
“It is also asked that anyone who would consider coaching a men’s side this year to pass on their details to mick sheather@hotmail.com.
“See you at the Botanical Gardens,” Sheather said.
