The number of development applications lodged last financial year indicates an increase of people moving to Forbes, Paul Bennett says.

Mr Bennett is Forbes Shire Council’s Director of Environmental Services and Planning. He said last financial year 36 development applications were lodged for new residences, around double the number normally received.
“Forbes has also experienced an increase in development in the industrial and commercial sectors, which can trigger additional residential development,” Mr Bennett said.
