The campout attracts country music fans and travellers from across Australia and this year is no different.
Numbers are continuing to roll in with at least 150 caravans and motorhomes already set-up by yesterday morning.
This weekend is the feature of the campout with a stellar line-up of country music artists performing on Saturday and Sunday.
Guest artists include Peter Horan, Jay Podger, Leanne Patrick, Alan Neal, Ged and Trudy Hintz and Allan Lavender. Featured artists are Garry Hemming, Dot Cole, Cliff Berry and The Driftalongs, Graham Butterworth and Freda Drinkwater.
A surprise for the organisers was the arrival of Des Morgan, an American Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame inductee from Warrnambool in Victoria.
Forbes Country Music Club’s Reika Hoswell said it was an unreal surprise and his attendance had brought much delight to other campers.
Mrs Hoswell said so far the campers had enjoyed lovely weather and the program for the event got underway with a Poets’ Breakfast with Bobby Drinkwater yesterday morning.
About 30 people entertained the masses on Tuesday night during the camper walkups and this will continue over the next four nights.
“We are encouraging Forbes people to come out over the weekend to see some of the guest and featured artists,” Mrs Hoswell said.
“It will be a great day out and is $15 per person for adults for a day pass.
“We look forward to seeing you out here at the Bedgerabong Showground.”
The program on Saturday and Sunday starts at 9.30am with singers performing all day on both days.
