Robeto speaks at grain forum

Last Thursday, the Forbes Services Memorial Club was the meeting place for around sixty local grain growers and speakers from around Australia and the world.

One of those speakers was Robeto Peiretti, the founding member of the Argentine No Till Farmers Association.

He said since the 1970s, No Till farming has grown in Argentina.

Also at the forum was 2011 Conservation Farmer of the Year, Grant Byrne from Peak Hill.

Mr Byrne once farmed without No Till machinery, but says since the introduction of conservation farming methods in Argentina, he has noticed more money coming in with less work.
