The races are scheduled to take place on Good Friday, April 18 with about 30 camels, trainers and jockeys on board to attend the fun family day.
Chairman of the Camel Race committee, Kerry Dunstan, said he was disappointed to hear talk of the races being cancelled and wanted to say they are definitely still happening.
“Due to negative comments and false statements, it’s time to let the public know that we’ll be up and running again this year,” he said.
“The major sponsors are on board again, plus it’s pleasing to see new sponsors come on board as well.
“The course and surrounds will be a picture as usual.”
Mr Dunstan said all the usual attractions will be there, as well as a few new ideas.
The Morris car club will be in attendance with 100 cars and 200 people going along on the day.
