What a magic weekend we had for our Easter Carnival, the weather was lovely, the friendship from all was outstanding, the beer was cold, the competition tense and what a way to promote bowls to all.

I thank all who contributed to the success of our carnival and if I was to name all then I would have taken up a full page on “thank you”s.
You guys and girls know who you are and I hope you all take in how appreciated of your efforts our committee and myself are thankful of.
Good to see a couple of locals feature in the final of the pairs with Russell Dietrich and Jarrod Andrews going down to Dave Shearer and Mick Stuart from Harboard.
Our paper has covered the rest of the results with photos of the winners, runners-up and players around the greens.
This weekend sees the third round of the Major Singles to be played on Saturday.
The games are set for maybe some more suprises but I am not going to call them and leave it to you to think who will go forward in the competition with the following match-ups, Alan Baker v Glen Kearney, Mick Connelly v Len Frail, Brian Asimus v Brian Tisdell and Russell Dietrich v Les Cannon.
Sunday sees the second round of the Major Pairs to be played and the Play, Sub or Forfeit rule is there for all to abide by.
We will be running a chook run this Friday ( Anzac Day) for both Ladies and Men at 1pm, names in by 12.30, mufti.
