Mr Moxey won two major awards, the Most Successful Santa Gertrudis Exhibitor and the Best Maintained Santa Gertrudis Team, over five head.
As well as these, he also took home ribbons for Junior Champion Heifer, Reserve Junior Champion Heifer and Reserve Senior Champion Cow, and won the first six classes in the Santa Gertrudis section.
The Moxey team took a total of 11 cows and bulls to the Royal Easter Show, and each animal was awarded a ribbon.
“Everything that we took down got a fairly substantial ribbon, which was great considering they were in very good competition,” he said.
“It’s the best we’ve ever done.
“We missed a couple of major bull prizes but getting the others was a real joy to us.”
Mr Moxey has been going to the Sydney Royal Easter Show since the 1960s and has been entering Santa Gertrudis cattle in competitions since the 90s.
Now that he was so successful at this year’s show, it’s a matter of deciding where to go next.
“We’ve got to now decide whether to go to Brisbane Royal and where we go next,” Mr Moxey said.
“With the team looking as good as they do, it’s a good way to promote our stud and our bulls.”
