Stores have been evacuated and an exclusion zone set up after gas cylinders caught alight and sparked a fire at a western Sydney service station.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to the fire at the BP service station on Hoxton Park Road near Flowerdale Road at Liverpool at 1.30pm today. A 200-metre exclusion zone has been set up with nearby lunchtime crowds at KFC and the Aldi grocery store evacuated.
The NSW Ambulance Service has no reports of anyone being hurt. Eight fire crews are working on the blaze. Their primary focus is property protection, a spokesman said.
Hoxton Park Road has been closed in both directions.
