Over $370 was raised on the door alone through a gold coin entry fee and organisers are yet to tally the final amount raised from stallholder fees.
All money raised will go towards the Riding for Disabled Association Forbes, who also had a barbecue running on the day.
Organiser Emma Gaffney was pleased with the markets’ success.
“I’m really happy,” she said.
“They were really successful for winter.”
Forbes Youth and Community Centre was filled to the brim with 24 market stalls selling a variety of goods including furniture, home wares, home décor and new and preloved fashion items.
“Everyone seemed quite happy on the day,” Ms Gaffney said of the stallholders.
“We did have more businesses than pre-loved stalls but I thought it was a good mix.”
Ms Gaffney wants to thank Forbes Shire Council for donating the hire of the YACC.
The markets will be back again next year at a date soon to be determined.
“We’re hoping to make it bigger and better for next year,” Ms Gaffney said.
