A special meeting will be held in the Council Chambers on Monday, September 1 at 5pm to elect the mayor and deputy mayor.
All nominations are made to the general manager, Brian Steffen, who is the returning officer for the election.

Nominations can be taken right up until the meeting at 5pm on Monday.
At the meeting council resolves on the method of voting which can be by preferential ballot, ordinary ballot or open voting.
Mr Steffen said generally in the past councillors have opted to do a ballot vote.
The meeting is open to the general public.
