The 589 square metre block in Forbes’ central business district, on the corner of Lachlan and Court streets, was put up for auction by the owner, however with no registered bidders by 10am, no auction went ahead.
The property will now go on the market.
Agent Lee Marsh said she has received a lot of interest in the building since Saturday.
“We’ve been getting a few inquiries since Saturday,” she said.
“With the interest out there we’re just working with everyone to see what we can do.”
The former ambulance station was seriously damaged by fire in two arson attacks in late October and early November 2001.
It needs, as described in advertising, “some TLC” from the buyer.
There is a development application to put a new roof on the building approved and current.
The building has a lot of potential for interested buyers, especially due to its prime location in the CBD.
“People are looking at doing it up to either put their own options in or they’re asking about rental potential,” Ms Marsh said.
