Twenty six players aged five to 13 years old were part of the two day clinic which finishes today.
The camp starts at 9am and focuses on technique, ball control, speed and agility as well as runs small sided games and skills competitions.
The day finishes at noon with the group divided into four English football teams and playing a mock FA Cup. Doug McKenzie is a coach with Western NSW Football and runs the training sessions.
He said that Forbes is lucky to have a clinic each holidays as many towns in the region do not offer consistent soccer training.
“This is quite unique to the west,” he said.
“Very few surrounding towns have it every holiday.”
Already Western NSW Football has programs locked in for 2015 with a club development program for kids aged six to 14 years old pre-organised.
Mr McKenzie said there is an obvious demand for such training.
“There is a need for it [coaching clinics],” he said.
“The number of kids we’ve got attending demonstrates that.”
The next holiday soccer clinic will be held in April.
