Eight students from Forbes Public School have qualified to attend the State PSSA Athletics Carnival in Homebush.

On Wednesday both the senior and junior girls relay teams will travel to Sydney after finishing third at the Western Region carnival in Dubbo.
The senior girl’s team consists of Kristal Girot, Tahlia Harpur, Jasmine Steel-Park and Amy Gallagher.
Unfortunately due to injury Tahlia will not be competing and another student, yet to be named, will join the team.
The junior relay team includes Stephanie Behan, Tiarna Clothier, Georgie Coote and Lauren Bate.
The girls are reportedly very excited about the trip and principal of Forbes Public School Dafydd Thomas wished them all the best for their competition.
“Sporting excellence is a major part of Forbes Public School and we wish these teams all the best in their competition,” Mr Thomas said.
The State PSSA Athletics Carnival will be held over October 15 and 16.
