The club presented the local charity with a large cheque for $3000 on Wednesday.
The donation was part of the Forbes Services Memorial Club’s community grants program.
CanAssist have received the funding from the club every year for the past 15 years.
President of Forbes CanAssist Kerry Dunstan said the money is a wonderful help to the charity.
“It helps us provide assistance to the cancer sufferers of Forbes and all the money stays locally,” he said.
CanAssist provide nearly $70,000 of support each year to local people with cancer.
Meanwhile, CanAssist will be selling tickets outside News on Rankin this morning for Monday’s Melbourne Cup calcutta.
Spokesman Brian Flannery said the calcutta was one of CanAssist’s top fundraising activities.
“It’s a good night that gives punters the chance to make a few bob and raises some much needed funds for CanAssist,” Mr Flannery said.
Monday’s calcutta will be held at Forbes Services Club from 7pm, with the horse auction to start about 7.30pm.
