Sadly, Forbes has been beaten in all five of these grand finals, inheriting a perennial bridesmaid title they would rather not have.
During these five years the coaching and managing duties have almost solely been performed by players within the group, and spokesman Michael Sheather said this has proven a difficult task, juggling playing and managing.
The men’s group is now searching for individuals who might be interested in coaching or managing a team this year.
“It is hoped that the appointment of a dedicated manager or coach will be the missing piece to the puzzle that will get the men’s group that elusive one step further in gaining premiership success,” Sheather said.
“With the season officially kicking off in April, it would be ideal to have the appointment of interested individuals as soon as possible.
“Whilst a level of soccer knowledge is obviously desired, by no means are we expecting Ange Postecoglou to apply.
“The club already has in place skilled individuals who are able to assist with the training and conditioning arrangements of the group and the more desired or unfilled job description is that of game day management of the team or teams.”
Forbes men’s soccer would like to call on anyone interested in managing or coaching a men’s team this year to contact Michael Sheather via email micksheather@hotmail.com or by mobile on 0421-120-750.
“We would love to take men’s soccer in Forbes to the next level,” he said.
