From 1pm, guests will be able to enjoy food platters by Eat Your Greens, a free sausage sizzle run by Forbes Rotary as well as soak in fresh refurbishments of the building.
Yet the day won’t be just about nibbles and drinks - owner Dr Daniel Demosthenous hopes the opening will showcase the work of all the tradespeople involved.
“We wanted to have a celebration to thank all of the tradespeople who put in the hard work,” he said.
“This Saturday will be a great opportunity for all of the people involved to see their finished product and for each tradesperson to display what they can do.”
From inception to opening, the building has taken one and a half years to complete.
Daniel and his wife Dr Sandra Buchler were both living in Sydney, when they made the decision to purchase the building at 2 Templar Street in June 2013.
In July last year, the couple and their newborn baby James, packed up and moved to Forbes.
Having never renovated a business before and not knowing anyone in Forbes, Daniel said the experience was certainly a steep learning curve.
“In Sydney you could just pay one person to come in and do the whole job, but out here there is noone to hold your hand,” he said.
“It’s more about working with each person to make it happen. It was a great way to get know people.”
Forbes Family Dentists opened their doors to the public on January 12 this year.
