The event will kick off Forbes’ Youth Week celebrations which are spread out through the month of April.
The awards night is about recognising young people’s achievements and talents within the community and the contributions they make to Forbes.
The event will be held at Forbes Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm and will feature the presentation of eight awards including the School Community Junior Award, School Community Senior Award, School Academic Junior Award, School Academic Senior Award, Young Sportsperson Volunteer Award, Young Innovator Award, Youth Encouragement Award and the 2015 Overall Youth Community Award.

Forbes Town and District Band will be performing on the night, playing a selection of concert favourites and showcasing the musical talents of young people in the community.
There will also be artwork displayed from students at Forbes High School and the event will be catered by Forbes High’s hospitality students.
As well as the awards, the night will also launch the Forbes Youth Advisory Committee’s website which they have developed over the past few months, as well as the launch of the Youth Week photo competition.
