With Australia and New Zealand about to mark 100 years since the Gallipoli landing that gave the day its name, the club is offering free entry for all to the showground paceway this Saturday.
Club spokeswoman Emma Gaffney said nominations have been good for the non-TAB meeting, with between six and eight races likely, starting about 1pm. Gates will open about 12pm.
Major sponsor of the meeting is the Forbes Services Memorial Club, who will present the feature race, the Diggers Cup. There will also be three memorial races in honour of harness racing stalwarts, Pud Woods, Neville Pellow and Clarrie and Val Robb.
Apart from the major sponsor, supporters of the Anzac Day meeting include the RSL Forbes Sub Branch, Woods family, Helloworld Forbes, BWR Accountants, Lachlan Valley Veterinary Clinic and Bluescope Distribution.
The club will follow the Anzac Day gathering with its TAB meeting on May 3.
