Jaye Davie, stock and station agent, was killed when his car left the road and rolled on Sunday evening.
Detective Steve Howard of the Lachlan Local Area Command said police were called to the single-vehicle crash, on the Henry Parkes Way, about 7.30pm.
Police located a Landcruiser, which had rolled, about 10km west of Bogan Gate.
He said an ambulance arrived and officers attempted to revive the driver.
Tragically, their efforts were not successful and Mr Davie died.
Mr Davie was very involved with the Forbes Camel Races and the committee yesterday posted a tribute to the cameleer on their Facebook page:
"Our committee would like to send our deepest condolences to the Davie Family at this very sad time. It is hard to believe such a bright young man has been taken away at a young age. RIP Jaye, you will be sadly missed."
