CARS DESTROYED IN FIRE: Three cars and a carport have been destroyed in a fire in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police are investigating the fire, which was in the lane behind Farnell Street. VEHICLE STOLEN: A car was stolen from Forbes’ central business district on Sunday morning. It was later located, undamaged, in Union Street. Police are investigating.
DRINK DRIVE: A Forbes man will face court after providing a positive breath analysis. He was stopped for a random breath test in Thompson Street on Thursday afternoon and returned a positive reading.
ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN: A resident disturbed a would-be offender trying to force their way in a window of their home in Macdonald Street on Saturday evening. The offender left the scene.
A Parkes Road business owner found someone had also tried to force entry to their business on Friday night.
It appeared an entry attempt had been made at a window but was not gained.
FENCE CUT: The fence at an Oxford Street business was cut some time between Tuesday and Friday last week. It does not appear anything was stolen from the site.
DEFECTIVE VEHICLES: A Forbes woman was issued with infringement notices for driving a vehicle with defects. She was stopped on the Newell Highway last Thursday.

SEARCHES: Police searched two Forbes women in Johnson Street early Saturday morning. Nothing of interest was found.
A Forbes man was searched in Grenfell Street on Friday night, nothing was found.
