Jessica Sparsi and Bec George will take part in the Coastal Charity Walk in Coffs Harbour on June 14.
The girls have been friends for six years and decided to do the challenge together because it was a charity close to Bec’s heart.
“I have two younger siblings and my little brother had to be flown out a few times by the Westpac helicopter,” Bec said.
“I truly believe that if it wasn’t for those guys flying him out, I wouldn’t have a 13-year-old brother today.”
Both Bec and Jess have been in training for the all-terrain event which begins in Coffs Harbour, heads out to Mutton Bird Island Reserve before looping back to the mainland.
Bec and Jess hope to raise $2,100 each for the Westpac helicopter service and are asking for as much support as they can muster.
“Anyone who can support us or donate to the cause, well that would be amazing,” Jess said.
