A woman lost part of her ear and another woman was bitten on her ankle during an attack by three dogs in Doonside, in Sydney's west.

The 22 year-old woman who was bitten on her ear also suffered injuries to her face, arms and legs, and has undergone surgery at Auburn hospital.
The attack happened during a visit to the home in Doonside when she was attacked by the "boxer type dogs at the residence" on Sunday morning, police said.
The second woman, a 33-year-old resident at the property, suffered a dog bite when she intervened to stop the attack and cordon off the dogs in the backyard.
Police and ambulance paramedics attended the scene, and both women were taken to hospital. The older woman has since been discharged.
The woman were known to each other, according to police.
Police did not disclose the fate of the dogs.
