The fundraiser, to assist the family of young Forbes woman Danielle Mason, was organised by Forbes Junior Rugby League president Chris Morrison and local livestock agents McCarron Cullinane Chudleigh (MCC).
Nine suckers and older lambs were auctioned by MCC partner Adam Chudleigh on Tuesday morning, raising $2075 towards a Mason family fundraiser being held this Saturday.
Mr Morrison said it was an excellent result and he thanked Mr Chudleigh and all others who contributed their time and money.
“Adam Chudleigh donated his time and rounded up the sheep from the local vendors and agents,” Mr Morrison said.
“I just got in touch with a few local [lamb] producers and Adam did all the rest,” he said.
Each of the nine lambs was purchased by regular buyers at the livestock exchange, with Tallangatta Abattoirs contributing $1000, Mr Chudleigh said.
Mr Morrison invited all to attend Saturday’s fundraising evening at the Golf and Sportsman’s Hotel.
“Come along and enjoy a bit of music, some auctions and have a good night,” he said.
