Last week Cath made it through to the live finals of The Voice after going into the ‘Super Battle’ against fellow Jessie J team members Jason Howell and Chris Hoskin.
While discernibly excited, Adams described the win as “bittersweet”.
“The Super Battle was a bit weird,” she said.
“It was all very exciting but it was a bit sad to see the boys out of the competition.”
Cath said she has mixed emotions for this Sunday’s episode too, which will be her first live performance on the Channel Nine show.
“I’m excited but nervous, my song is challenging so I’m just hoping I can pull it off,” she said.
“Also knowing it’s live is really scary”.
Cath could not reveal what song she will perform but said she is currently in Sydney receiving mentoring sessions from Jessie J.
No matter the outcome this Sunday, Cath said the experience has only invigorated her love of music.
“If I get voted out I’ll walk away with my head held high,” she said.
“I think to make it this far is an achievement in itself and I’m really happy to have learnt so much.”
Cath said she has been “blown away” by the support she’s received throughout her journey.
“In terms of support, people have been overwhelming in getting behind me, even people I don’t know,” she said.
“I’m a bit blown away by it. It’s a strange feeling but a good feeling.”
Sunday night’s edition of The Voice will start on Channel Nine from 7pm.
