Between $16,000 - $18,000 is believed to have been raised by the community at the fundraiser for Danielle Mason last Saturday night.
The fundraiser was held at the Forbes Golf and Sportsman’s Hotel and around 150 people, including Danielle herself, got behind the event.
Organiser of the benefit ‘Jack’ Clarke said he was astounded by the support on the night.
“Forbes is phenomenal,” he said.
“You just have to look at what’s gone on over the last three weeks.”
Last month $20,000 was raised for eight-month-old Lottie Freney and two weeks ago $12,500 was raised for Can Assist at a fundraising night in memory of Kay Corliss.
“All in all it was a really good, family friendly night,” Mr Clarke said.
“Danielle drew the major raffle for us and I think she enjoyed the night.”
Highlights of the evening were reportedly the entertainment by Phil and Judy Prior who sung and ran the karaoke as well as Mick Brown’s disco.
Tim Mackey and Phil Prior conducted the auctioneering on the night and
dinner was catered by Gordon Hurry at the club.
In the raffle, Allan McLennon won the first prize of $500 to spend at IGA, Toni Hanns won a $200 IGA voucher and Harry Cahill won $100 for third.
A final tally of the funds raised on Saturday will be published once all donations and money from the auction has been received.
Mr Clarke wished to thank everyone who attended the night and the local businesses and tradesmen that helped make the fundraiser a success.
