The annual Ian Walsh Memorial Bowls Day was held for the fifth time on the weekend to raise money for the Men of League Foundation.
President of Forbes Men of League John Lasker said it was a great day at the Forbes Sports and Recreation Club and the money raised will go to supporting many in the community who are in need.
“It was a real good day and we were very pleased to have visitors from Cobar,” Mr Lasker said.
“What money we make goes to the Men of League which helps people in the local community.”
The overall winners of the Ian Walsh bowls day were triples Greg Hodges, Ian Simmons and John Williams. The runners-up were John Ashcroft, Lawrence Hodge and Russell Hodge.
Mr Lasker said the community can look forward to the bowls day returning next year.
