Pool managers Rob Aston-Brien and Maree Reiher are looking forward to welcoming the community and are expecting a busy weekend.
“It’s going to be a nice weekend,” Maree said.
Mayor Phyllis Miller said she was looking forward to the opening of the pool.
“It is a wonderful community asset and it is there for all to be used,” Mayor Miller said.
“This weekend will be perfect weather for the start of the swimming season.”
There will be a few new lifeguards working at the pool this year and another new addition is a soft-serve machine in the canteen which can make everything from ice-cream to thickshakes and milkshakes.
Opening hours are 10am to 7pm every day for October and March with 6am to 8am for lap swimming all season, and 9am to 7.30pm from November to February. It will stay open until 8pm on Fridays.
Pool entry is $3.80 for adults, $2.60 for children and concession card holders and $2.50 for guardians. Entry is free for children under five.
Full season tickets are $235 for families, $123 for adults and $72 for children and concessions. A monthly 10 pass fee is also available at $31 for a family, $20.50 for adults and $10.30 for children and concessions.
