The association announced Forbes Services Memorial Club has come on board as the major sponsor for the junior competition, which will commence in some divisions this Saturday.
Gunn’s Mensland has also thrown its support behind junior cricket by sponsoring the Under 12s, 14s and 16s representative teams with shirts for the season.
The following businesses - Sportspower, Bunnings, Matheson Earthmoving, Hazell and Field Accountants, Forbes Livestock, Frank Spice, Bernardis IGA, Forbes Phoenix and AWB have come on board as individual team sponsors.
Committee members have been working with the Lachlan district development officer Cara Pocock to organise a number of skills clinics at both Forbes North and St Laurence’s primary schools. A T20 Blast School Cup has been organised for Tuesday October 13 where all schools are invited to take part and enter teams in the carnival that day.
Registrations to date have been very strong but there is still room if your child would like to play junior cricket this season in Milo, U10s, U12s, U14s and U17s. Forbes will be fielding eight teams in the Forbes / Parkes competition this season, the first junior competition game of cricket is on Saturday October 10.
