‘The move to Victoria Park has been a positive one for the markets, and makes for a perfect day out,” said market organiser Melissa Ross.
“The new location in the park has been popular with producers, with many new stallholders coming on board since the move. The park location has also proved popular with visitors that adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere,” she said.
As the seasons change so does some of the produce with Saturday seeing some delicious additions to the usual market favourites.
Fresh cherries will be available as well as new season garlic. This is the perfect time of year to be enjoying a new range of fruit and vegetables.
This month the market also welcomes back Kalavista Olives with a range of delicious olive products, and Golden Glove nursery with a range of Australian native plants.
“With the end of the year approaching and the social season just about in full swing, be sure to get in early for fresh produce to entertain family and friends,” said Melissa.
“There is sure to be something to tempt every palate, from fresh oranges and orange juice to Borenore Brewhouse ale and Cannibal coffee, meat from Pride of Oak, through to fresh flowers for the home.
“In the lead up to Christmas there will also be plenty available for the perfect gift hamper from a range of local producers,” she said.
“Bring the family and meet up with friends, soak up the atmosphere, do your shopping and grab a bite to eat all in the one location.”
