Female jockeys rode four winners in succession at Wellington on Saturday with Forbes-based Catherine Newcombe starting the sequence in the opening event, the Barnson 270 and 340 Maiden Plate on Lake Lugarno.
The Barry Molloy, Forbes-trained Lake Lugarno was put in a good position by Catherine Newcombe then swept to the lead for an impressive win over Talk Is Cheap (Tony Cavallo 4.40) and Leap Lively (Leanne G Henry 4.40).
An eye-catching second at debut in Narromine, Luke Lugarno started the 3.80 favourite at Wellington.
Landnar (Leanne G Henry 11.00) from the Brett Thompson stable at Gulgong then led throughout to win the Class 1 Handicap (900m) from Harcourt Street (Aaron Bullock 7.00) and Barbie (Jake Pracey-Holmes 6.50).

Tiffany Jeffries, riding for her mother the Parkes trainer Sharon Jeffries, came with a well-timed run from midfield on the Phil Easman owned Rehanaat (7.50) to score by one length from Club Fever, Jacob Gilchrist 15.00) and Cream of Oz (Glenn Lynch 3.20 favourite) in the Jarrad Wykes Electrical Maiden Plate (1100m).
Greg Ryan put a finish to the winning run of the female jockeys when he won the Joss Group Benchmark 52 Handicap (1700m) for trainer Garry Lunn on All For Kicks.
Off the fence at the right time, All For Kicks (4.40) won by nearly three lengths from Chocolate Bolt (Leanne G Henry 26.00) and Just As Dapper (Glenn Lynch 41.00).
Second leg of a double and the 50th win of the season for Greg Ryan was the Peter W Stanley, Bathurst-trained Hollywood Nell in the Allendale Merino Stud Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400m).
Hollywood Nell (3.40 favourite) tracked the leader Over In Killarney then held on to win by a nose from Fluctuations (Ken Dunbar 7.00) with Big Back Beauty (Kody Nestor 13.00) a handy third.
Second last in a 12-horse field and more than 15 lengths behind the leaders, Baites (Rasit Yetomova 21.00) produced a tremendous finish to win the Bell River Thorougbreds Class 2 Plate (1100m) by over two lengths from Snippety Sip (Jake Pracey-Holmes 8.00) and Litigation (Tony Cavallo 21.00).
Trained at Dubbo by Frank Hayes for himself and his wife Janian Hayes, Baites paid over 54.00 on the NSW TAB.
Underrated sprinter Dunderry made it 10 wins and 20 placings from 63 starts when taking out the Federal Hotel Benchmark 63 Handicap (1100m) at Wellington on Saturday for Bathurst trainer Paul Theobold.
Apprentice Roy L McCabe urged his mount to the early lead and Dunderry (5.00) thereafter travelled well for a half length win over Sunshine Royale (Tony Cavallo 15.00) with In Ernest (Erhan Kacmaz 4.00) finishing a handy third.
