Forbes is celebrating NSW Youth Week from May 2 to 8 and there are three major events taking place.

A Super Mega Fun Day will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesday, May 4 at Forbes High School.
There will be fun entertainment, rides, youth services information and a free sausage sizzle.
From 5.30pm on Thursday, May 5 the Youth Week Awards Night will be held at Forbes Town Hall.
On the night there will be a youth art display, nibbles catered by Forbes High School and a formal recognition of youth achievements.
Awards to be presented on the night are Youth and Community, Young Sports Volunteer, School Youth, Further Education Excellence Award and Brighter Future.
Mayor Phyllis Miller OAM said she was looking forward to recognising those young people in the community who had excelled in their fields and contributed to the community.
“Our youth are our future and it is important to recognise their achievements,” Mayor Miller said.
The final event to cap off Youth Week events is Youth Fest taking place from 4pm to 9pm at Nelson Park on Saturday, May 7.
Youth Fest will include entertainment by local bands Lone Impulse, Unwanted Company, House of Tribes and duo Maddi Collits and Chelsea Turner, followed by a sausage sizzle and a movie on the big screen.
There will be two buses running to and from the event with pick up at 3.30pm and drop off at 9pm at the following locations: QuickStop, Forbes High School, Goodstart Early Learning, Lakeside Takeaway and Flint Street Butcher.
