Crazy Hair Day is held to raise vital awareness and funding to help those living with the incurable disease.
According to the Cystic Fibrosis website, it is the most common inherited life-shortening disorder affecting young Australians today, primarily affecting the lungs and digestive system.
There is one baby born every four days in Australia with Cystic Fibrosis; one in 25 people are symptomless carriers of the faulty CF gene. There is no cure as yet.
