The Platypi will travel to Narromine on Saturday to take on the eighth-placed Gorillas in the round 11 clash in the hopes of maintaining their second position on the Blowes Clothing Cup ladder.
While Narromine are sitting a few spots below Forbes, Lavaka said they mustn’t be underestimated.
“Narromine are always strong at home,” he said.
“They’re one of those teams that you don’t know what they’re going to do on the day. If they stand up and want it more than us, they’ll win.
“We don’t want to underestimate any team from now on. We’ve got to play our best game from now on to stay on top.”
Lavaka said if his side play the way they have in their previous two matches against Dubbo Roos and Bathurst Bulldogs, they’ll come away with the win this Saturday, as long as they step up their attack.
“If we played the way we played the last two games, it’ll be good enough to get the money,” he said.
“Our defence won the game for us last week, same against Dubbo Roos.
“We’re going to have to defend well and use our ball a bit smarter. We want to balance our defence and attacking.”
We’ve got to play our best game from now on to stay on top.

Platypi’s top recruit Mahe Fangupo will be out again this week for NSW Country duties and captain Jack Hammond will also be away.
“Jack will be out this week, so we’ll be testing our defence with him away,” Lavaka said.
