Our annual bush rally was held at the Kiacatoo Hall grounds and this popular rally saw 29 caravans arrive at different days to enjoy a week of camping in a bush setting beside the Lachlan River.

Lovely autumn days and moonlit nights around the campfire were enjoyed with music supplied by our resident musos Rod, Rob, Jim and Colleen.
Each morning we feasted on dampers for morning tea with all camp cooks trying their hand at the best damper!
The camp cooking was really enjoyed with jaffles and toast for breakfast and dinners saw lots of pots on coals containing soup roasts and veges.
A big thankyou to all the woodcutters for the firewood they gathered in the week and Judith Buttriss for keeping the coals alight in the early hours of the morning.
Cooking around the fire and enjoying good company is what makes this rally quite unique and very enjoyable.
A visit to Condobolin and lunch at the RSL Club saw most of us enjoy a meal out and the chance to catch up on mobile service and the shops for supplies.
The Church in the Paddock was another highlight with its lovely domed ceiling and mosaics on “Bolo Farm” to visit with aboriginal sights also viewed.
We were extremely fortunate to have the hall as it turned out wet for our biggest morning tea with tasty food, raffles and guess the buttons in a jar competition all raising money for cancer research.
A grand total of $617 was raised also great entertainment with members dressed up for the skit Cinderfello.
Helen Pitt and Ruth Armstrong gathered all costumes and players and it was hilarious!
Peter Bright, our president, then presided over our Club meeting. Reports were read and business discussed, it was noted that we are one of the four biggest clubs in New South Wales.
Lots of games of rummy-o, sequence and scrabble are enjoyed over the week as well as fishing, tennis and bush walking.
