The Magpies are currently sitting third on the competition ladder after a win against Dubbo Westside last weekend and with Wellington yet to put points on the board, Grace is confident his side has what it takes for a win this Sunday.
“[Wellington] will be a similar side to Westside and we did get away with a win there,” Grace said.
“We learnt a bit from Westside, so that will benefit us well this weekend.
“It’s all about our attitude and making sure we play our best game of footy.”
Forbes beat the Cowboys the first time the two teams met this season in Wellington and now Forbes has the home advantage.
“We did beat them fairly convincingly over there but it wasn’t a game we had in the bag the whole time,” Grace said.
“They’re a team that can put points on pretty quickly.
“We just have to make sure we do what we do best and try to grind them out of it.
“I’ve got plenty of belief in my team.”
There have been a few injuries in the Magpies camp lately and Grace hopes they’ll be back to a full side in a few weeks but said he’s been impressed with all the juniors who have stepped up.
“All the kids that have been playing up from 18s have been outstanding and the regulars have been doing well too,” he said.
“Our team are fairly young - we’ve only got about four blokes older than 25.
“I think with the team we’ve got we can beat any other team in the competition if we play our best footy.
“We’ve got to make sure we turn up prepared - nothing in Group 11 will come easy.”
Martin Herbert is still out from injury, as is Grace, who is keen to get back on the field soon.
This Sunday’s side will be the same as last week, with the exception of Patrick Murphy who was on the bench when they played Westside.
