Forbes local roads closed due to wet conditions, water over roads

Forbes Shire Council advises that these roads are closed :

Water is over the road at Pinnacle Road (at Freemont and other four causeways), Yarrabandai Road at the intersection of Corridgery Road (known as 4 Ways), Johnny Woods Crossing (Wambat Street), Warraderry Way (MR237 Gooloogong to Grenfell Road), Boxfield Road (near Cowra Shire boundary – Goonigal Creek), Lachlan Valley Way (at Jemalong 24km and 26km from Forbes) and Warroo Bridge Road (just north of bridge).   

These roads have been signposted and motorists should proceed with caution.

Forbes Shire Council advises that these roads are closed until further notice:

Water is over the road at Johnny Woods Crossing (Wambat Street), Yarrabandai Road at the intersection of Corridgery Road (known as The 4 Ways) and Pinnacle Road (Garema).  

These roads have been signposted and motorists should proceed with caution.

Council reminds residents that it is not only an offence to drive through a road closed sign, it is also dangerous as the road pavement condition is not known and there could be submerged logs in the water.
