The Lachlan River Archers were finally able to hold a shoot on Sunday July 17 as the water had subsided and the track was dry enough to drive on without doing too much damage.

Nine members and two independents attended for a full round – 3 arrow in the morning and 1 arrow after lunch.
Whilst it has been a while since members got together for a formal round some good scores were achieved and have been forwarded to the Branch Score Recorder.

We are hoping that this current river rise will be back within the bank by Friday as we have a working bee tomorrow, starting 9am, to work on the ranges and if time permits start on a couple of other projects in readiness for the titles.
I’m really hoping that as many members as possible will attend to make the jobs a little easier. This will be followed by the Club’s scheduled shoot on Sunday (31st) with registration at 9:30am and muster at 10am sharp.
If you are new to the sport we’d like you to attend at 9am so you can be matched up with one of the club’s bows and have safety training on the practice range. A canteen is in operation between round 1 and round 2.
Our Club has accredited coaches and instructors to help people wishing to take up archery, so if you want to have time in the great outdoors, in a challenging and competitive sport give us a call so that we can have equipment available for you.
I also remind members that membership fees are due now. For more information give Rod a call on 6851 1027 or Tom on 6852 1847.
