Thursday, July 28
Council hopes to be able to open Bedgerabong Road by mid-morning Friday after making pavement repairs.
After their inspections today, the following roads remain closed to all traffic:
· Corridgery Road (between Bedgerabong Road and Yarrabandai Road)
· Limestone Road
· School Road (western end leading to Limestone Road)
· Forest Road (east of Central West Livestock Exchange)
· Bedgerabong Road (near Little Plains)
Water is over the road at:
Yarrabandai Road at the intersection of Corridgery Road (known as 4 Ways);
Warraderry Way (MR237 Gooloogong to Grenfell Road);
Boxfield Road (near Cowra Shire boundary – Goonigal Creek);
Lachlan Valley Way (at Jemalong 24km and 26km from Forbes);
Warroo Bridge Road (just north of bridge) and Pinnacle Road at Freemont.
These roads have been signposted and motorists should proceed with caution.
Council reminds residents that it is not only an offence to drive through a road closed sign, it is also dangerous as the road pavement condition is not known and there could be submerged logs in the water.
Should you have any queries, or wish to report water over road, please do not hesitate to contact Engineering and Technical Services on 6850 2874 between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday or 1300 978 633 after hours.
The 3-tonne load limit on the unsealed roads network remains current and will be reviewed at midday tomorrow.
