The first grade Platypi side meets Dubbo Kangaroos, with the clash set to kick off at 3.15pm.
“The first grade side had a fantastic training run on Tuesday night,” Prior said.
“There’s a real vibe amongst the guys at the moment, they’re excited, enthusiastic – they’re ready for this weekend.
“They have been waiting for this, waiting for the chance to play semi-final football.
“To have the chance to do that at their home ground, they’re excited about that.
“There will be added pressure, but we have some older heads in the club – the coach and Phil (Prior) as well – who have been in finals football before and are getting them ready for it.
“We encourage everyone to come on down and get behind them.”
The first grade side will be named Friday morning and is expected to be similar to the line-up from recent weeks with no major injury issues.
The Platypi’s iron-clad defence will again be key to their preparation for Saturday.
“Defence as a team has been a major focus this year,” Prior said.
“They have worked on their attack, set plays, put them into practice as well.
“The win starts at training, when nobody is watching, when the guys come together Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and work together.”
The Platypi president is looking forward to hosting visiting clubs from major centres for Saturday’s semi-final fixture.
