The Australian duo, Matt Minor and Adam Morris, have recently returned from performing in the US.
“We spent the last month in America playing at a whole bunch of festivals over there.
“Vanfest is similar to American festivals- there’s a lot of different genres,” Matt said.
And he’s not wrong.
This year’s lineup is a colourful array of everything. From alt-rock band The Rubens, folk artists Angus and Julia Stone and Vera Blue, to hip hop acts Drapht and Urthboy and three-piece electro-house and dance music group The Potbelleez.
“The lineup is exciting. It’s a real mix of different styles,” Matt said.
After playing in Dubbo last weekend, the mid-20’s pair are stoked to return to the Central West to be a part of Forbes’ homegrown festival.
The DJ’s will form Friday’s lineup at the two-day event.
They anticipate to play a mix of popular music and new tracks.
“I haven’t been to Forbes before, but Adam grew up in Parkes. We’d love to see as much of Forbes in 24 hours as we can,” Matt said.
Since meeting in Brisbane two years ago and forming their sound, Mashd N Kutcher have played 400 shows.
Vanfest is held at Forbes Showgrounds on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November.
