A fantastic raffle will be running.
The first prize winner of the raffle will take home the “Old Barn”.
This artwork is of a beautiful rural shed scene completed in pastels from between Forbes and Grenfell by Central Coast Artist Col Darley.
Second prize a wheelbarrow of quality fresh produce and meat donated by Kenny’s Baa Moo Oink Meats, and third prize, six bottles of wine donated by Bernardi’s Marketplace Supa IGA & Liquor.
The night will include an auction of a second piece kindly donated by Col, “A Summer’s Day in Sofala” a vibrant Sofala streetscape scene on card in oil, pen and ink.
Also to be auctioned on the night will be major works from St. Laurence’s classes that evolved from their recent Art Expo.
Leading up to this Exhibition, the teachers and P & F at St. Laurence’s staged a one day Art Expo.
As part of the expo invites were sent to a series of local artists, including members of the Forbes Art Society to come along for a few hours and display their styles and techniques.
This was very generously supported by Bernardi’s with a contribution of items from their incredible range of art and craft supplies, available in the Discount Dave’s section of their store.
The children were rapt, many came back during their lunch hour to keep observing the talented and stunning transformations that were happening as they watched entranced.
Some of these amazingly generous artists who donated their time and patience while answering myriad questions will be exhibiting on Exhibition night and more detail will follow in upcoming articles.
Thank you once again to all those involved and to Bernardi’s Marketplace Supa IGA & Liquor for their generous support of the day.
So dust of those glad rags and come enjoy a night of culture, music and fun on October 14, entry is just $5, including lucky door prize tickets.
