Despite the inclement weather, we had quality entries in all sorts of different sections.
Our Cooking Section saw a great showing from Junior entries this year.
Junior entries were also up in the Handicrafts section, along with some exquisite quilts.
Thank you to everyone who entered any section of the Show, young or old, without your entries, there would be no Show.
Make sure you have a look at the photo albums on the Forbes Show Facebook page – there are some wonderful pictures there!
A very important thank you must be said to all of our generous sponsors!
The Show relies on many sponsors to cover the cost of running the different events, such as the Lawnmower Racing, and sponsors also donate prizes for the diverse range of competitions on offer.
Thank you to all of the Chief Stewards and the Stewards who run the events at the Show.
You are all an essential part of the fabric of a successful Show – without you we would be lost!
All of the people who assist with the running of the Show, from the tiny, menial tasks, to the Working Bees before the Show, to the really big roles – we are grateful to all of our wonderful volunteers who make up the broader Show community.
Thank you also to the generous individuals who donated either money, time or food to the Ladies Auxiliary.
The morning and afternoon teas, lunches and dinners made by the Ladies Auxiliary are essential for looking after the Show’s many judges, stewards and helpers – the donations make all the difference!
Lastly, thank you to everyone who braved the weather and attended the Show, your continuing support makes for a successful Forbes Show!
Due to the wet weather, the Horse Ring Events, Yard Dog Trials and Dog High Jump were all postponed.
We are excited to announce Saturday October 22 will be Forbes Spring Horse Show and Family Fun Day.
Yard Dog Trials will start at 7.30am, Horse Ring Events will commence at 9am, along with Trade Stalls, a Jumping Castle, demonstrations by the Forbes Snake Catcher, Barkley’s Barkers dog display, tabloid games run by Forbes Little Athletics and to top it off, the Dog High Jump at 2pm!
Entry will be a gold coin at the gate, or $5 per car – an absolute bargain for a day of entertainment, with the bonus of supporting your local Show Society!
For those who love watching the Horse Ring Events, they will also be competing on Sunday 23rd, from 9am.
