A spokesperson for the SES said the Lachlan River is predicted to rise again this weekend and impact the flood plain, which could result in the town being cut in two.
The Bureau of Meteorology has the river rising again at the Forbes Iron Bridge to a possible peak of 10.55 metres by Monday morning.
The bureau said moderate flooding continues at Forbes Iron Bridge where river levels are expected to rise again and renewed major flooding is expected from Saturday night onwards.
Up to 15 millimetres of rain fell on Thursday with more rain forecast for the next 24 hours.
This rain is expected to cause renewed river level rises along the upper Lachlan River and its tributaries.
Downstream of Jemalong, major flooding is current for Condoblin and Euabalong from the previous flood peak. The current flood peak at Forbes will progress downstream over the next 2 weeks causing further river rises at Condoblin and Euabalong.
