Six athletes from Forbes Public School and four runners from Bedgerabong will compete in the NSW PSSA State Championships being held at Sydney Olympic Park on October 19 and 20.

The 10 athletes have succeeded at prior levels to reach the state titles; advancing from school carnival wins to Lachlan and then Western.
From Forbes Public School, Georgina Stitt will represent the western team in the 12/13 years 800m after placing first in the western titles; along with Ella Greenhalgh who will compete in the 12/13 years high jump (first in western round), Tom Steele-Park in the 12/13 years long jump and 200m (first at western), and Harry Scott in the 12/13 years 200m (second at western).
Harry broke the PSSA Western record in the heats of the 12/13 years 200m at the western trials held in Dubbo in September; running in with a time of 27.93 seconds.
The Forbes Public School senior relay team, consisting of Henry Hodges, Alex Boton, Tom and Harry, will also compete for state honours after they placed first at the western trials.
Bedgerabong Public School is represented by Jasmine Pritchett, who will contest the 12/13 years 100 metre race.
She will then be joined by Ryan Pritchett, Harrison Corke and Campbell Rubie in the Nigel Bagley Relay, for schools similar in size to Bedgerebong.
Forbes Public athletes have fared well in other areas; Georgina Stitt represented the Western District at State Swimming and State Cross Country, Ella Greenhalgh at State Cricket, and Harry Scott and Henry Hodges both represented at State AFL
