Lillyann began playing rugby league at the young age of five and loves contact sports.
She played the game until 12 and then took up league tag due to the restrictions on females playing contact sports after this age.
Lillyann was selected in the Western Region Academy of Sports Rugby 7s squad last year and has had the opportunity to play in a number of competitions.
It was through these competitions that she was selected in the NSW Rugby 7s Blue Bells Under 17s team.
Lillyann will continue to compete in competitions through NSW and attend regular training camps in Sydney in an effort to be considered for selection in a national team in December.
Lillyann was also selected to represent her community under their traditional Aboriginal nation name and participate in the 2016 Nations of Origin Rugby League 7s tournament.
Congratulations Lillyann, we will see you at the 2017 Forbes SOYA awards!
