The program will be compered by Judy Prior, who will add her own special touch to the night, which is always a free event to all the community.
The evening will start at 7pm, with the Forbes Town Band followed by the Generocity Youth Band. This is normally the Pre Carols concert, but this year the full program is included into one big night of entertainment.
The community carols will start at 8pm, when Mayor Graeme Miller will welcome the community.
The guests for the night include, Maddi Collits, Leonie and Bethany Burton, and the Cantata Choir led by James Whalan, presenting a wide variety of performers.
The guests will lead the community carols during the night, and Dave Burgess will give the Christmas message.
Santa will take the guess work out of the children's wish list for families, when he will be available from 6-30pm til 8pm for chats and photos, with a gold coin donation to the Town Band.
Santa has been based in Sydney for a little while, coming from the North Pole, but has asked if he could come to Forbes for the full weekend, where he will be the guest of the Forbes Shire Council.
Santa saw the floods in Forbes earlier in the year, when he was at the North Pole, and asked if he could come down and make a special appearance to attend Forbes Carols, and other community events during that weekend.
The big screen, which proved a big hit when it was used for the first time last year, will be back.
The Forbes Town Band musicians have been very busy rehearsing for the night. They provide all the music for the community carols.
The Forbes and District Lions Club are providing the barbeque, with the Town Band families providing drinks.
Glowcandles will be on sale from the Town Band and anyone who would like to hold a traditional candle should bring their own.
The Town Band will also hold a fundraising raffle, with the profits helping to keep the Town Band operating.
The Town Hall has been booked in case of inclement weather, with the program running to the same time.
The Forbes community is invited to come and celebrate the Christmas season. Bring along their chairs and blankets to sit in the beautiful Victoria Park, which has been very well prepared by the Forbes Shire Council staff.
The full program with the words of the community carols will be available in Friday's Forbes Advocate, and everyone is invited to bring it along with them and sing along with the guests.
