Jason Hoswell got the batting off to a good start with 48 of the side’s 166 before he was run out.
Jamie collected four wickets for 47 runs to bundle Masterstroke out just 15 runs shy of the target.
Work Control won the toss and batted first. Nick Greenhalgh joined Jason to open the batting but was caught out for six.
Jamie Hoswell went in next and made 20, Mark Stirling also added 22. Both were caught out off Damian Kennedy’s bowling.
Harry Leadbitter and Corey McDean opened the bowling for Masterstroke, McDean posting a persistent 54 before Jason Hoswell knocked his stumps over.
J McDean added 17 before being caught behind and J Vale 18 before his wicket also fell to Hoswell.
Connor Greenhalgh also had a handy innings with the ball, collecting the wickets of Leadbitter and Kennedy while allowing just eight runs off four overs.
Jason Hoswell picked up two wickets for 18 off eight.
Masterstroke’s bowlers also posted some tidy figures, with J Dukes collecting three wickets for 27 and D Kennedy three for 36. Jarrod McDean claimed two for 18.
In the weekend’s other game, Postie met Masterstroke in a T20 game on Grinsted Oval. Postie posted a total of 86 off their full innings.
VC Reid achieved that virtually untroubled, 1/93 in the 14th over.
J Nicholson made 16 before he was bowled by McDean. J Skinner and A Cole both added runs steadily to score 39 and 31 each.
